Once you have the fiber rolled into eyes, you can optionally firm them by poking them on your felting surface, or you can just directly attach them to your piece's face. Ensure that they're evenly or symmetrically placed on either side of your piece's beak, nose, or other facial features. When attaching eyes, you have to work meticulously and carefully. Avoid poking too deeply, otherwise they may appear sunken in. If that happens, you can always add more fiber after the fact to fill them in.

If you want more reflective, expressive, or 'cutesy' eyes, you can make them big with reflection details. To do so, roll up slightly larger pinches of fiber into flat discs. Again, you can firm them up by poking them on your felting surface or just directly attach them to your piece's face. Once the eyes are firmly and evenly attached, take teensy tinsy pinches of a lighter color or fiber. Roll them laterally between your thumb and finger so they're more like a cylinder or cone than a ball. Then, place the light pieces like crescents in a corner of the darker eye. Carefully attach them to each eye to create a reflective effect.
